Halloween Activities

Last Saturday night, we went out to McCall's Pumpkin Patch in Moriarty for some scary fun. Our friends, typically, were slow so we got there about 2 minutes until 10. The lines for the haunted attractions were 2 hours long, so the dude would only let us go into the daytime corn maze, which had no line. So we went in with flashlights (see picture) and got lost and tried not to get too much dust in our eyes from the horrible wind. It was pretty fun. But we still don't have pumpkins.

I love fall. The leaves are turning yellow and red, the temperatures are dropping, and it even snowed at the party I was catering last Sunday (where I also got a $60 tip). So it's like fall and winter all at once. Stupid high desert. And there's farms with corn mazes (or maize mazes) and pumpkin patches and hay rides. Yay!

Pumpkins to be procured on Saturday morning. Possible pie in the works, although canned filling has already been acquired. If pie is made, it will not contain clove chunks like it did last year.

HOLY CRAP I think we were both in corn mazes at the exact same time. Maybe not with time zones but I prefer to think yes.
Not only did we arrive late, we also started with 10 people in 2 cars and only 5 of us made it! But i think our maze was taller and harder than yours. But still. Amazing coincidence.
Central Texas has a ridiculous summer/fall pendulum swing going on right now, which I am blaming my stupid outfit on today (stripey socks with boots and a huge scarf but a short sleeved t-shirt and pigtails because of the windiness. Tragic.

I think it bizarre that their Texas map clue sheet looks eerily like ours. Were they, in fact, in Moriarty?
